If you want a divorce and you don’t have children or any pension plans you will be able to divorce without lawyers as of Sept. 1st.
This is a new rule that the courts have adopted and this makes creating the documents for an uncontested divorces acceptable in courts in Tennessee on Sept. 1st and they will have instructions, what’s going to happen in the court room, and what not to wear in the court room. This was suggested in January of this year by Access to Justice Commission, then the Supreme Court studied it to see how it would work, they found out it helps the people with lower incomes the most. Then after they toke public comments on the rule, they made a choice to pass it.
